The Operator Conversion Course (OCC) may mark an important step in your continued professional development as a pilot. Whether you are transitioning to a new operator, moving to a new aircraft type, or both, the OCC is designed to familiarise you fully with the procedures, culture, and operational standards of your new working environment.
During this training, you will become familiar with the operator’s specific operational procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety guidelines. You will learn how these are applied in all phases of flight and how they align with international regulations and best practices.
The OCC also focuses on ensuring a smooth transition to the new aircraft type. You will receive a general introduction to its technical characteristics, automation philosophy, performance aspects, and system logic, enabling you to be well prepared for the simulator phase and the transition to line operations.
In addition, we address the organizational and cultural aspects of your new operator. From communication and reporting structures to company culture, Just Culture, and safety management—you will gain insight into how the organization operates and what is expected of you within the team.
Cooperation with cabin crew, dispatch, maintenance, and other operational departments is also discussed, helping you understand how the various links within the operation reinforce one another. The emphasis is on professional, efficient, and safe execution of every flight, based on teamwork and clear communication.
