The Annual Recurrent Training is an essential component of our continuous learning and safety programme. This training is part of a three-year cycle in which all core elements of Crew Resource Management (CRM) are systematically addressed, refreshed, and further deepened. The aim is to keep our knowledge and skills sharp, enhance our awareness, and continually strengthen our collective safety performance.

During this recurrent training, we focus on both the human and operational factors that influence every flight. Central themes within the three-year cycle include:
- (Just) Culture & Safety Culture – fostering an open, honest learning environment in which we discuss incidents and challenges constructively and continuously improve.
- Situational & Shared Situational Awareness – maintaining an up-to-date, shared understanding of the operational environment and the factors that influence it.
- Threat and Error Management (TEM) – managing threats consciously, recognizing errors, controlling risks, and recovering where necessary.
- Automation & Monitoring – effective interaction with automated systems, staying “in the loop,” and maintaining a high level of monitoring discipline.
- Human Performance & Limitations – understanding the physical and cognitive limits of human performance, including fatigue, stress, and workload management.
- Leadership & Group Dynamics – effective leadership, teamwork, and leveraging the strength of the cockpit crew as a collective.
- Communication – structured, clear, and assertive communication as the foundation for safe decision-making.
The recurrent training combines theory, practical experience, case studies, and interactive discussions to generate new insights and refine previously learned skills. By training annually within a continuous cycle, we remain alert, professional, and prepared for both routine and unexpected situations.
